Voge lift the lid on new £7200 DS800X Rally adventure bike

Chinese firm Voge is set to show off a new middleweight adventure bike at the 2025 Adventure Bike Rider Festival – introducing the new DS800X Rally as a more off-road-ready sibling to sit alongside their keenly priced DS625X and bells-and-whistles DS900X

Shown publicly for the first time at Ragley Hall, the new arrival will hit showroom floors from August at £6999 plus £200 OTR, offering a spec sheet that belies its wallet-friendly pricing. Including a wheel combo ideal for riding off-road, fully adjustable long-travel suspension, a host of electrical goodies, and more.

Under the skin is Voge’s KEL800 parallel-twin engine, said to be good for 92.5bhp at 9000rpm and 60lb.ft at 6500rpm. Voge DS800X Rally rear three quarters

That puts it toe-to-toe with rivals like the more pared-back, dirt-centric and recently released Kove 800X Rally, also being unveiled at ABR 2025, and sees the Voge offering just 2.5 ponies off its fellow Far Eastern compatriot – albeit at a notably lower price.

On the chassis front, the DS800X Rally makes use of a steel double cradle frame, suspended on 43mm KYB USD forks with 200mm of travel and a matching 190mm rear shock. Ground clearance is marked at 220mm and seat height sits at 850mm.

Carrying on the dirt-ready theme is the inclusion of an 18/21-inch tubeless spoked wheelset, shod with semi-knobbly Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres.

Braking comes courtesy of Nissin, with twin 298mm discs and four-piston radial calipers up front, plus a 240mm rear disc.

Weight is quoted as being 213kg fully fuelled, which is on par with most rivals – especially considering the bike’s enormous 24-litre petrol tank.

There’s also a host of goodies usually reserved for the extras catalogue fitted as standard, including a radial steering damper, heated grips and seat, centre stand, bash plate, handguards, and folding mirrors.

On the electronics front, the Voge packs selectable traction control and ABS, riding modes, a full-colour vertically mounted TFT display, tyre pressure monitoring and even an integrated 1080p dash camera with audio recording. There are also USB-A and USB-C charging ports, backlit switchgear and LED lighting throughout – including built-in spotlights.

The release of the DS800X Rally marks the latest move in Voge’s push into the European ADV market. The premium sub-brand of Chinese manufacturing giant Loncin – who also produce the engines for BMW’s F900GS (and the rest of BMW’s 900 family) – now offers a full spread of models from the single-cylinder 2023 Rally 300 up to the DS900X tourer

UK distribution is handled by Lancashire-based importer MotoGB, who’ve been working with the brand since 2023, and the new 800 will come with a two-year, unlimited mileage warranty. Three colour options will be available: Black, Blue/White, and Yellow/Black.
